Hi. I`ve got a little problem merging xchat, at least it's a little bit wiered.
So I' ve installed XFree and fluxbox, everthing running nicely and smooth (opera, etc.) but when do:
emerge -p xchat
gentoo tells me the following:
bash-2.05a$ emerge -p xchat

These are the packages that I would merge, in order.

Calculating dependencies ...done!

Guess that are a little bit to many packages for xchat? ;)
So could there be a bug in the ebuild script?

PS: I'm running gentoo 1.3b

You could try emerging xchat without any dependancies. I have no idea if it will run, but you could try. Also this does not, in any way, address the possibility of a bug. I would try checking the BUGs forum to see if anyone has posted something to this effect there.
