Hi all,
Recently I upgraded to KDE 4.4.4 and now I have a strange issue with the screensaver: it does not accept my password any more to unlock. With KDE 4.3.5 it worked without any problems. Has anyone an idea what is wrong here? The only way to unlock is to kill the process as root from the console or to restart the X server.
Cheers,
Thorsten |

could the reason for this be a confusion with the keyboard layout? _________________ De Oecher send der Düvel ze lous |

OK, I finally found the problem: /usr/lib64/kde4/libexec/kcheckpass was missing the setuid bit. This was deliberately avoided in the ebuild by using patch to the makefile. But why??? |
