I tried emerging quake3 a few weeks ago and I kept getting an error that the CRC didnt match. I downloaded manually, from several computer including a windows box. Every time I tried running the installer it said the CRC didnt match. I finally gave up and installed Quake3 on my RedHat9 box. Installed without a hitch.
Today I purchased Savage and it too uses the Loki Installer. When trying to install I am getting this message.
Code: | # sh install.lin
tail: `-1' option is obsolete; use `-n 1'
Try `tail --help' for more information.
This installation doesn't support glibc-2.1 on Linux / x86

I searched the forums for others having problems with the loki installer, I couldnt find any reports with this problem. Someone suggested to check if lib-compat is installed. I do have 1.2 installed.
My current setup is:
Gnome 2.4 from BMG
Linux version 2.4.21-pfeifer-r1_pre1 (root@cactus) (gcc version 3.2.2)
Gentoo 1.4 with many ~x86 packages
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.. |
