I have an Esoniq AudioPCI sound card which uses the es1371 driver. It works fine with the good old standard kernel driver, but I can't get any sound using ALSA. amixer and /proc/asound recognize the card and everything in amixer is on, unmuted and at 100% volume. My non-root account is added to the audio group, and even then neither that account nor root can get any sound and I'm really stumpted Any ideas? Just ask if you need to see any lsmod or /proc stuff. |

It works fine for me with the snd-card-ens1371 module.
Edit: I followed the Desktop Configuration Guide at Gentoo.org. _________________ That's it Mr. Giraff, get all the marmalade. |
