asking here is the right way to go about making one... from what i remember, it would require a moderator who can speak/type the language so that it doesn't get spammed or trolled, etc.

I guess there wouldn't be hard to find one.
As I have read on this forums moderators get chosen, so I guess applying for it is no way. So to say it correctly, I would except it, if the mods asked me, but it don't know if I am (maybe not) acceptable at all.

I waited for the ansewer here for a few days now. Would it be possible that some moderator answers what is needed to have a new language forum.
What is needed, is it enough votes by current users, or anything else. I don't know. Maybe a link to some gentoo page thate describes the needed stuff would be cool, too.

you could always try popping into #gentoo-forums on freenode.

If enough people show interest (e.g. by actively posting in the Other Languages forum with a tag marking the slovenian threads so we can easily see there are a lot of them), we will create a forum.
