Hi.

I'm using the latest stable versions of mplayer and mplayer-plugin and for some reason quicktime movies (i havent tried other kinds of movies), it says "loading movie" then does nothing.

Anyone know whats wrong?

Haven't played them lately, but they were working off of Apple's trailer site.

Moved from Desktop Environments.

mplayerplug-in .80 worked fine, but I just emerged .91 and now apple.com/trailers is borked. Firebird freezes until mplayer is closed, and mplayer just sits there and pops up an error message every once in a while until I kill it. The error was like "no stream found" or something.

I was hoping that .91 would fix other problems like out-of-sync sound, truncated video, and would stop playing everything blown up to the full browser window, but it still does all of those things too.

Time to switch back to .80, methinks.

I just viewed a (most boring) trailer at apple.com with mplayerplug-in-0.91/mplayer-1.0_pre1/Mozilla and it worked fine, although it took rather long until the trailer started.

I can also view trailers at apple.com with mplayerplug-in-0.91 mplayer-1.0_pre1 but at first I was wondering why it didn't work in konqueror. Turns out you have to emerge kmplayer also for it to work in konqueror. They can even play full screen just by pressing f ;)
