mouse jitters between screens on multiscreen, no input

Occasionally we are getting mouse failures when the mouse is moved between two screens. The mouse "jitters" between
the two windows in an erratic fashion. No keyboard control at this point. The mouse does not respond to input.

Any ideas?

- if you have an nvidia card jump to step 1
- if you have an ati card jump on the card

step1: as stupid as it is, try to invert the screen in your xorg.conf
i remember a bug with LeftOf or RightOf but i don't remember really who's the good & the bad.
anyway, you could try "Screen1" LeftOf "Screen2" to switch it with "Screen2" RightOf "Screen1" (or invert, bah!)
