KMail broken - Possibly related to kde3.1 alpha upgrade?

even since I tried to upgrade to 3.1 alpha unsuccessfully, KMail is constantly crashing as soon as I press any key in the "To: " Field of an email. it gives the error: kmail: relocation error: kmail: undefined symbol: self__Q24KABC14StdAddressBook

anyone know how I can fix this?

edit: I just checked the "About Kmail" thing in the help window and it says i'm running 3.0.6 (kde 3.1 alpha)
