Actually, i saw that bug, and forgot to mention that i was initially trying to install beagle-0.3.9-r2, and when i found that link downloaded the beagle-0.3.9-r3 ebuild, and started having the same problem. Does that bug mean there is no way around this for the mean time?

In that bug there is a link to the patch that fixes the problem, http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/devel/beagle/beagle-0.3.9-sqlite.patch.

You can copy the ebuild to your local overlay and make it apply that patch.

Is a local overlay just regular portage or?

Code:
lenovo files # ls
beagle-0.3.9-r3.ebuild  beagle-0.3.9-sqlite.patch  beagle-log-level-warn.patch  crawl-portage
lenovo files # patch < beagle-0.3.9-sqlite.patch
patch: **** Only garbage was found in the patch input.

For more info about overlays, take a look at http://linuxreviews.org/gentoo/ebuilds/. Editing /usr/portage is not recommended, because you'll lose the changes with the next sync.

Also, for the patch you need to download it from http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/devel/beagle/beagle-0.3.9-sqlite.patch?revision=1.1&view=co, otherwise you get an HTML page.

The bug page says the patch has been included but the latest build still has the same problem...

Solution is to update mono then recompile beagle.
