I installed http://distfiles.gentoo.org/releases/amd64/autobuilds/current-iso/ minimal on my laptop it works except the wirelesss. The wired connection may work but I don't have access to one. The minimal distro should include wireless as standard.

The minimal ISOs are not meant to be installed. They are meant to be burned to a CD so that you can boot into a minimal environment from which to install Gentoo. Some wireless cards only work well with non-free drivers, or do not work well ever. You would be better served finding a less minimal live environment from which to install Gentoo. Any recent Linux environment can be made to work, though some are a better choice than others.

Indeed, minimal CD are not distro, they are media that help us to install our box.

It's not like a Ubuntu LiveCD :P

The minimal iso comes with wpa_supplicant and indeed wireless works using Gentoo net scripts. However some firmware packages are not on the minimal cd.

Perhaps you skiped a step during the install.
