Hi!
I have an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe motherboard, with an onboard audio controller. I've seen in the forums that I'm not the only one having trouble here.. Well, the problem is that the soundcard only supports 2 channels in Linux, and I cannot play music and hear other sounds from the system at the same time. (2.1 sound works)
I've been looking around here in the forums, and generally I see that people talk about the ALSA driver etc. I haven't tried that yet, I've only emerged nforce-audio. So my question.. Do I HAVE to install alsa to get the 6 channels to work, or is there a solution with the nforce-audio driver? I'm running analog sound btw.. not through SPDIF.
