I have created a SAVAGE gentoo clan ...

im using the gentoo icon as the clan image 
If you want to join follow the instrucctions:
*this goes to every body that post here wanting to join the gentoo clan!
1. post your login here
2. go to http://clans.s2games.com login and accept the invitation
3. When playing Connect to the IRC that way other members of the clan Can add you the buddylist and join your game.
other way is to go to http://clans.s2games.com/clan.php?clan_id=49 and check if one of the clan member is playing then join the game by IP address
If you have any ideas or want to help manage the clan let me know.. (im new to this clan stuff)

Not much point in me joining.. I'm in australia.. and I can't find a server with less than a 400ms ping 
Sucks.. I have a 512k ADSL and I can't find a fricken server to play on

In their forums a guy stated the S2 team didn't have an AI programmer so no Single-Player and no bots. |

Single player doesn't fit well into a game like this anyway, since it's either FPS or RTS, you can't have the same experiance like Multiplayer, however you could have objectives in a multiplayer game like RTCW.

Just had to speak up, there is no truth to that. There are no bots because we didn't want people to have to play against bots when the world is full of willing players who will give you a much better experience than a bot ever will. We actually do have a very accomplished AI programmer working on Savage.

I remember when CounterStrike came out originally people griped and moaned for months about bots not being released... My question is why do they bother to buy/download a internet based game if they are not wanting to play online?

Not everyone plays these games on the internet. Some due LAN play with a small group of friends or just want to fire up the game and do a few mins against bots on a map or in a situation you don't normally see.
Plus bots are good for practicing against if you're a newbie. |

Is the game out yet or is there that many Gentoo users in the beta tests that a Gentoo clan can be formed ?

Yes, the game is available now. EB and Gamestop stores have it for $49, or you can buy a downloadable copy from igames.com for $39.
I found out about these forums because the Gentoo guys rock All of the official S2 servers are running on Gentoo Linux, actually.

I haven't been able to find system recommendations for Savage - and I'm afraid my putter needs more punch to play it.
But it sure looks nice at least - I hope the gameplay is above average though. |

Over the weekend I was playing on my older computer that sports the following specs:
PIII 500
256MB ram
GeForce 2
I had the GFX set to middle of the road and the puter ran Savage just fine. |

Hi,
I was anticiparing SAVAGE for Linux a long time. I want to play this on my Gentoo/Redhat PC, but there is maybe a problem> I live in Slovakia, Europe, so I dont know, if it will be wise to buy downloadable 39$ version. Are any SAVAGE servers nearby - Germany, Czech rebublic, Poland atc ?
I have 256kb MW line, so download is slow - how many CD has SAVAGE ? |

I bought the downloadable game, it worked just fine.
You get access to an iso of the cd, linux only installer, or windows only installer, and the manual in addition to the reg key.
