I must be doing something wrong, not sure what it is yet, any clues? It appears to be something with the bootloader but I'm not sure what the problem is. |

As Krinn said - drop the installer and start from scratch with a handbook installation.
No buts, no whens, no ifs - the installer is deprecated and not supported.
