|
|
Hello all,
I have always used Webmin to configure Bind but I thought I would learn how to do it manually.
I have tried to set it up but it is not working properly. Besides the following files...
/etc/bind/named.conf
/var/bind/domain.com.hosts
/var/bind/1.2.3.4.rev
...are there any other files I need to edit?
Thanks in advance |

hmm. without seeing the files, it's hard to tell. I hope you don't have security concerns about sharing them, because if they're private it doesn't matter, and if they're public, well, they're public anyway.
The three files you mention should be sufficient, I think, but of course it's the _content_ of those files that really matters. Incidentally, if you're using this server as a recursive dns server for other clients you'll probably want to list some public servers in named.ca. _________________ Configuring a Firewall?
