2.6.34-gentoo-r6 works fine, but no 2.6.35 kernel will boot. they all freeze with the message:

This doesn't look like something that should be a show stopper!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It's an HP Core i7 box with Intel Peak Ibex everything.

It stopped freezing when it turned off all the codecs that weren't for my card, then made snd-hda-intel a module.
done. |
