Hello,
AFAIK this must be a capability added by your Motherboard's BIOS; If the BIOS offers something called "Boot Sequence", and among the available options is something along the lines of "USB", "USB Drive", you should have no trouble just creating a Linux Boot partition (though vfat IIRC) an that stick.
The Motherboards capable doing so are the newer ones. If that option does not show up in BIOS, you can't do ist (except through a possible BIOS update, or if it is strongly hardware-dependent (which I don't know) not at all.

There was another thread a few weeks back discussing how to boot from a USB pen drive. I don't know if they ever got it worked out, but a search of the forums might turn something up for you. |
