Firefox crashes silently when a javascript modal dialog is raised if gnome-settings-daemon is not running, such as today when there's some dependency chaos due to cairo-0.10.0 and my manually-removed glitz (which doesn't seem to be a dependency anymore).
I have a new .gtkrc-2.0, which is successful in setting the Clearlooks theme and a font.
FWIW, I'm using x11-wm/awesome-3.4.7, so other than theme, I really don't want much from gnome, but I haven't gone gnome-less yet.
Any ideas what's the problem with Firefox and modal popups? These are the kind typically raised by javascript to confirm, such as to empty your spam folder. |
