Issues with emerge kde -p -e

I've recently changed my CFLAGS to better optimize for my Athlon and I want to completely re-emerge by KDE3.0.2 system. But when I run "emerge kde -p -e", I get the following error "!!! Error: couldn't find match for virtual/glu in x11-libs/qt-3.0.4.20020606-r1".

I've checked the /var/cache/edb/virtuals and nothing seems to be an obvious error.

I've also re-emerged qt and injected qt into the system but that doesn't seem to fix my problem.

BTW, I don't have this issue with gnome-2.0.0-r2.

Optimization:
CFLAGS="-march=athlon -O3 -mmmx -m3dnow -fomit-frame-pointer -funroll-loops -pipe"

Finally fixed my problem.

Had to remove all reference to MESA in the virtuals file. Don't know why that would have caused the problem but things seem to be working again.
