Ciao ragazzi ho installato cups sul server linux configurato la stampante come raw e ho commentato sui file mime.convs mime.types le righe riguardanti il protocollo raw.
Poi ho configurato samba affinche i client windows usassero i propri driver e questi sono i parametri :

printing = cups
print command = lpr -P %p -o raw %s -r
lpq command = lpstat -o %p
lprm command = cancel %p-%j
use client driver = Yes
[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /var/spool/samba
browseable = no
# to allow user 'guest account' to print.
guest ok = yes
writable = no
printable = yes
create mode = 0700

La stampante viene installata corretamente ma nn stampa sapete aiutarmi ??

Uhmm... non ricordo più chi, aveva parlato proprio del fatto che la stampante andasse configurata come raw... provo a dare un'occhiata nel forum... intanto search !

Oltre al search (fondamentale), cosa dicono i log quando lanci la stampa?

Ciao allora la stampa funziona solo che è un po lento l'invio del processo di stampa da un client windows. Poi riscontro una cosa molto strana una volta che ha finito di stampare sul client windows scrive che c'è stato un errore di comunicazione   mi sembra strano dato che è riuscito a stampare . Cmq ho una stampante epson stylus photo 790 che sia un problema di driver per windows??
Sui driver windows deve essere abilitata la porta bidirezionale???

Nei log nn c'è alcun errore .....pero' vi risulta che il processo di invio della stampa sia lento???
