With the loadkeys command. But I guess you've had time to restart by now anyway... |

... that works, thankx.
When I configured the keyboard layout for the console as "slovene" istead of slovene keys I get question marks "?", but in X "slovene" keys work just fine. So I wanted to do the following: have "us" keys in the console and "slovene" for the X, but if I change the keys for the X to "slovene" then also the keys for the console change - even though I have that configured as "us".
So, how can I have "us" keys for the console (the one I can run in X) and slovene keys for the X??? |

When you are in X, the console keymap settings are irrelevant. However, you can have multiple keyboard layouts in X. Read /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/README.config for how to do this. |
