Is there a place where you can view all, say, KDE-specific or Gnome-specific applications, along with a description of what they are/do? Also, should you be worried about installing KDE < v3 apps on a box setup with KDE 3? Will it cause problems? I noticed that when installing KOffice, an older version of qt needed to be installed as well, so I held off installing until I find out.
Thanks! |

you can view information about packages with the tool qpkg which comes withe the package "gentoolkit".
Alternativly you can use kemerge, which is being developed at the moment, but AFAIK it needs kde3.
kde3 apps wont run without kde3libs at least. _________________ /(bb|[^b]{2})/ |

I have both QT 2.3.2 and 3.0.3 installed. Qt 2.x gets installed under /usr/qt/2 and QT 3.x under /usr/qt/3. It works great. |
