|
|
I don't know in wich forum i can place this best, so i decided to put it here.
I just installed gentoo on my laptop. After shutting it down, i can't get it to boot anymore.
It stops booting when it is checking the filesystems.
Code: |
* Checking root filesystem...
* Warning: The dma on your hard drive is turned off.
* This may really slow down the fsck process.
Reiserfs super block in block 16 on 0x303 of format 3.6 with standard journal
Blocks (total/free): 9630967/9259526 by 4096 bytes
Filesystem is cleanly unmounted
Filesystem seems mounted read-only. Skipping journal replay.
Checking internal tree..finished
/sbin/rc: line 313: 226 Segmentation fault fsck -C -T -a /
* Filesystem couldn't be fixed :(
|
Then it suggests to give root password for maintainance.
When i log in and try "fsck -C -T -a" it gives me:
Code: | /dev/hda1: clean, 29/10040 files, 6882/40131 blocks
Warning... fsck.ext3 for device /dev/hda1 exited with signal 11.
Segmentation fault |
My configuration
/dev/hda1 = ext3 = boot
/dev/hda2 = swap
/dev/hda3 = reiserfs = root
Please help me |
