I keep trying to post to the networking forum and it times out. Happens with IE and Mozilla. I'll be amazed if this post even works.
edit: well, I can post fine here, but it still times out when I try to do so in the Networking forum. does anyone have any ideas? I might try posting a msg without any text and then editting it in later. |

well, after multiple tries, it FINALLY went through. I guess I should just be glad it didn't double post (or quintuple post, the number of times I've tried to post it...) |

sometimes you just get a bad connection to the server...
Alot of the times I will try and post something and it will not go through, so just try again a few minutes later |

i am having exactly the same problem with the documentation forum ... since about an half an hour i am trying to get my new tutorial posted, but it always timed out. i had the same effect already when i published my last tutorial, but then it just took like 15 minutes ... now i am waiting already more than 30 minutes. this is extremely annoying. also makes me wonder, answering to posts works within a second ... just posting a new post takes ages ... _________________ A mathematician is a machine for turning coffee into theorems. ~ Alfred Renyi (*1921 - †1970) |

I am having a similar problem with forum search. Try searching for some very often used words on the boards (try searching for "linux"). My squid at work gives me "Zero sized reply", at home I just see an unupdated page (need to reinstall mozilla 1.3.1 on my home mandrake). Anyway, looks like gentoo sql server is getting way too much load on it. |

This is most likely the same problem as in MOD EDIT: quick/"past 24 hours" search Error.
If it turns out to be different, I'll unlock this trhead and post an update. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |
