|
|
Hi.
I tried to install Gentoo on my laptop [ Asus UL20A] and neither ethernet nor wifi card was recognised and able to use. What have I to do to install drivers(modules?) for them? Normally I would insmod them but directory /lib/... is read-only and I can't do this.
Intel WiFi Link 1000
Atheros AR8131 LAN
Thanks for help. |

the wifi wont work with systemrescuecd nor with the official gentoo media - requires firmware not included with either
the wired, however, should work just fine. I think it's atl1c, as one poster mentioned above.
For that one, I'm quite certain systemrescuecd will pick it up _________________ Lost configuring your system?

Could You please upload a compiled atl1c.ko module? I receive an error while compiling it. |

rozyk,
It has to be compiled for your exact kernel, with a few key settings identical to your kernel, or it won't load. _________________ Regards,
