|
|
hi,
I am looking for a /etc/sensors3.conf file for the macbook pro 3,1. I found one for 4 & 5 macbook models, but the fans don't seem to match up.
The main reason I am looking for this conf file is the error outputted from the sensors command:
error: can't get value of subfeature temp1_input: I/O error
Will updating the sensors3.conf file fix this? or, is this a different problem?
Please help. |

I have a MacBook3,1. My fans (sensors) seem to work.
Do you have applesmc module built and loaded? IIRC this is what does the hardware sensors. |

yes, i do.
so, you don't get the below error when you run sensors?
error: can't get value of subfeature temp1_input: I/O error
may I see your kernel .config? Also, what steps did you take for lm_sensors? |

Hi,
I just used the sensors-detect script and everything worked fine.
I was running 2.6.35-tuxonice I am now running 2.6.37-rc2 with a scheduler patch that makes things run nicely.
I can certainly give you my config. Is it acceptable to include it right into a forum post? |

I just tried to post my kernel config, but it was truncated due to length.
as far as for sensors, i just ran sensors-detect and wrote out the config. |

please use pastebin or a similiar service for your .config file.
also, does pwmconfig (in bash) work for you?
thank you |
