Okej I give kde a shot again.it compiled fine and start
but after the start logo all goes white and that's all,no menu,no wallpaper
nothing like when i had enough but this time i had Cairo dock on
and that worked.so what's the error? kwin works, compiz starts,i can use my
apps but that's all.before i had it with kde I'd tryed to switch to ati os driver
to see if that was the problem but.no it was the same.

regards

It is a bit difficult to understand your problem description.

Desktop going all white is a problem when you are using OpenGL compositing and it falls back to software rendering. This happens when you e.g. have "eselect opengl" not set to x11 when using open source drivers.

I can not set eselect OpenGL x11 because if i
switch from ati, xorg won't start as allways with fglrx driver
i am using as you told me ones, using compiz stand alone
and it works at the moment.the problem is with kde
I have used openbox and lxde and they works just fine.

one thing I say is when the kde startup logo
(blue background and some icons that blinking)
the last icon takes some time to start.o and
I had some widgets before and they shows up
like a frame with a error text that the widgets
could not be found.

If it works with a fresh user, you should first try nuking your ~/.kde4 directory and trying again.

I meant that you should delete the .kde4 directory in your home (back it up first).

If you've tried that already and it still doesn't work, then start a failsafe session (xterm) and run startkde from there and paste the output.

Do you have a complicated partition layout? Perhaps kbuildsycoca is writing lots of stuff into /var/cache or something similar?
