Don't ask why, but for some reason I need to print from a linux machine, to a WinXP machine. I'm using samba with this. CUPS doesn't seem to support just doing this through its web interface. I kinda expected it to, actually. But anyway, I'm looking for an easy way to do this. I've gone the other way before and its simple enough...
All the documentation I've found suggests I just add a line to printcap, but... that won't work since I need to setup the filters manually then, and I haven't the fainted idea how to do that. The printer is a Epson Stylus Colour 740, which is well supported and easy (normally,) to setup under linux...
I can print fine with smbclient, but thats not really suitable for complex things like dvi files, etc.
Suggestions? |

I use webmin to setup my printers, as it makes things quite simple -- better than cups' web interface . webmin printer setup lists "Windows Server" as one of the options for the print server, which is what you are looking for. _________________ But the situation seemed to call for witty repartee. "Huh?" I said. |
