I have two gentoo boxes. On both I have done "emerge sync" and "env_update" on both this morning followed by "emerge -U world". Box 1 is not installing the upgrade to openssl and does not recognize openssh 3.7.1 as being available. Box 2 recognizes the openssh 3.7.1 upgrade but does not recognize the upgrade to openssl 0.9.7b-r2. The USE flag for ssl is in make.conf for both boxes. What is happening here?

Box 1

Code:
*  dev-libs/openssl
      Latest version available: 0.9.7b-r2
      Latest version installed: 0.9.6j
      Size of downloaded files: 4,850 kB
      Homepage:    http://www.openssl.org/
      Description: Toolkit for SSL v2/v3 and TLS v1

*  net-misc/openssh
      Latest version available: 3.6.1_p2-r3
      Latest version installed: 3.6.1_p2-r3
      Size of downloaded files: 993 kB
      Homepage:    http://www.openssh.com/
      Description: Port of OpenBSD's free SSH release

Box 2

Code:
*  dev-libs/openssl
      Latest version available: 0.9.6j
      Latest version installed: 0.9.6j
      Size of downloaded files: 2,131 kB
      Homepage:    http://www.openssl.org/
      Description: Toolkit for SSL v2/v3 and TLS v1

*  net-misc/openssh
      Latest version available: 3.7.1_p1
      Latest version installed: 3.7.1_p1
      Size of downloaded files: 826 kB
      Homepage:    http://www.openssh.com/
      Description: Port of OpenBSD's free SSH release

Many thanks,

Greg
