Ok so I type "useradd <name>" (all tefaults previously setup) the user gets added to passwd, and shadow. but nothing else is done, no home directory is created (or skel coppied) if I supply -p <password> on the commandline it does not set the password...
I have tried adding as describes above, and by specifying all the options on the commandline; same resault. I have verified that all the paths, group ID, etc are valid.
any ideas? |

Thanks, that covers my basic needs, still have a few scripts that use adduser though. |
