Hi,

I want to duplicate a server in a very straight forward manner
Code:

dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/hdb

Place the disk in the copied system and change the ipaddress and the server name.

I've done this before in the past but I remember that I need to remove a file before I reboot the new copied machine to make sure it takes over the new IP address and server name.

However I forgot which file it is.

Was it?
Code:
/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules

Yes this is the file to delete!
