I've somehow accidentally removed my /usr/portage/profiles/default/linux/x86/2008.0 directory on an old file server
Since it is one of these embedded things I don't really feel like rebuilding the whole system
Is there a quickfix to restore the old profile directory?

This profile is still distributed with the portage tree as of now, so
should set you right again. If you delve a little into the rsync documentation, you can probably find a command to sync the 2008.0 folder and nothing else. |
