is it possible to install gentoo from the hard drive?

I don't know of a how-to out there, but it's possible as long as you can get the build tarball onto the system (stage1-1.1a.tar.bz2 or what its called) you can untar that onto a /mnt/gentoo, chroot and basically follow the instructions, this assumes you have a running linux distro and unpartitioned space on your PC. |
