Hello, I suppose the last upgrade destroyed something because now printed images are in negative, even with cups printer test image, or with HP device manager. Text is printed OK.
I am using a HP printer C7280 with hplip and cups. My system is up to date, revdep-rebuild done etc.
cups : 1.4.4-r2
hplip : 3.10.9
Edit 1 : the printer is OK, I have tried it with another computer.
Edit 2 : the problem came from ghostscript-gpl-9.00 and downgrading to version 8.71-r6 solved the matter |

I had a problem with text overprinting and downgrading solved it for me. However, I also had the python/portage problem when running @preserved-rebuild after the initial Ghostscript upgrade, so until I retry I cannot be sure whether the problem is caused by Ghostscript-9.0 or a failure to rebuild the deps? |

I confirm the same problem with:
cups: 1.3.11-r2
hplip: 3.10.9
Downgrading to ghostscript 8.71-r6 resolved this problem. YAY. Thanks for posting this. |

I stumbled across this old thread and can confirm that reverting from ghostscript-9.00 to ghostscript-8.71-46 worked for me. I am using an HP Photosmart Premium C310 w/ cups (USE=hpcups set, and hplip version is 3.10.9).
Thanks for posting the info -- I bought my new printer (the C310), did a bunch of updates, and started having this issue. I was afraid I'd have to go thru the hassle of returning my new printer! |
