Bonjour,
1er pbl:
j'ai fait une betise, j'ai fait poiinter sync sur un truc qui n'etait pas une liste de package:

je me suis rendu compte du truc qd rsync a voulut telecharger un iso...
Le probleme et qu'il avait deja telecharge des truc ... j'ai decouverts que tout est dans /usr/portage
qqun pourrait'il me dire ou rsync range ce qu'il telecharge et comment il fonctionne.
NE sachant pas exactement ce qui a ete telecharge je peux

2e pbl: (cause de ma betise)
je voulais emerger xfsprogs or les ebuild de gentoo essaye de telecharger la version 2.3.9 or sur le ftp il ne reste que la version plus recente 2.5.4
j'ai donc telecharger cette version dans distfiles, puis j'ai essaye d'emerger .. PB emerge voulais tjrs la 2.3.9 !?
j'ai donc voulut mettre a jour la liste des package.
mais le rsync n'a pas suffit
alors j'ai delirer avec le rsync du pbl1.
Comment faire pour emerge une version plus recente d'un package ? Ou trouver l'ebuild qui va bien ? |

Alors pour le premier probleme tout ce que emerge telecharge se trouve dans /usr/portage/distfiles/, et oui tu peux tout virer sans probleme.
Pour le deuxieme ca m'a l'air mal partit, il n'y a pas d'ebuild de la version que tu souhaite, donc il va falloir que tu le compile a la main

En fait g regarde et ce bien pire que ca les trucs telecharges par la 1er commande sont dans /portage directement et comme je c pas exactement tout ce qui a ete telecharge c la ****
donc j'ai penssé au trois possibilitées en haut y en a t'il une de bonne? Qqun a une autre idée? |

Par default il n'existe pas de dossier /portage mais on peut modifier la "racine" de portage.
Je ne comprend pas ce que tu veux faire : puisque que a chaque emerge rsync tout le contenu de la "racine" de portage (a part distfiles/) et si on peut dire efface et remplace.

merci broly si je trouve pas d'autre solution je l'utiliserais.
par portage je voulais dir /usr/portage (distfiles en fait partie)
en fait a cause du emerge rsync tout est dans /urs/portage.
donc n'ya t'il pas un log pour la commande rsync ou le emerge rsync ?
comment visualiser le contenu de rsync://oss.sgi.com/xfsftp ? |

Bon j'ai tres certainement rien compris donc je vais passer la main.
Mais tout de meme : tu pourrais si ca te chante faire un rm -rf /usr/portage/* etant donne que tout le contenu de /usr/portage serai mis a jour au prochain emerge rsync

En fait j'hesitais a faire ca car je ne sais pas ce que /usr/portage contient ?
Si il n'y a rien d'important genre info sur les package installés c'est bon sinon je peux po le supprimer.
Dans tout les cas j'aimerais savoir si la commande emerge ou rsync fait des fichier log lors de sont utilisation? |

Non ces infos sont dans /var/db/pkg/ (c'est celui là qu'il ne faut pas supprimer  )

Alors pour ce qui concerne les infos sur les softs installe elle ne sont pas stocke a cet endroit (gim a repondu entre temp)
/usr/portage/ contient principalement des ebuilds, ce sont les scripts qui aide portage a installer les paquet que tu lui demande,c'est a dire que sous gentoo, sans ebuild tu n'a qu'un seul choix (enfin presque) c'est de compiler tes paquet a la main, renoncant par la meme a faire gerer le paquet par portage (pas de mise a jour via emerge possible donc) emerge ne saura pas que tu a installe ce paquet.
[EDIT] sauf ci tu cree toi meme un ebuild pour ton paquet

Je pense que tu peux supprimer tout le contenu de /usr/portage sans risque comme te l'ont indiqué yuk159 et gim.
Ensuite, tu mets ta variable SYNC à jour dans ton /etc/make.conf (l'adresse "officielle" pour l'europe est : SYNC="rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage").
Enfin, un petit "emerge rsync" te remettra tout ton arbre en ordre.
Le fait de mettre à jour ton arbre mettra à jour tes ebuilds et lorsque tu voudras installer "xfsprogs", emerge ira chercher la version 2.5.4, celle qui se trouve justement sur les serveurs ftp (magique non ???).

Beu pourkoa je l'ai pas moi la derniere version ?? 
Tu me dira ...de toute facon j'utilise un gaming sur des partitions reiserfs

Autant pour moi, la version stable de xfsprogs est la xfsprogs-2.3.9. 
Par contre elle est bien présente sur les ftp (j'ai testé et ça download bien la version 2.3.9)

J'ai aussi les 2.6.0-test4 et 5 mais le bootsplash ne fonctionne pas . |
