I logged a bug with Untangle because their installer had problems determining the JAVA_HOME. See http://bugzilla.untangle.com/show_bug.cgi?id=6518
After six months of no activity, a bug handler paradoxically concluded:

developer wiki.
Installing this on gentoo is never going to work, though. |
I've asked for further clarification as to his conclusion their product will never work on Gentoo.
Is there something about Gentoo that makes Gentoo unacceptable for certain software?
Am I missing a very fundamental principal about Gentoo's design that is so obvious it need to be cited? |
