Does anyone have experience or know about the SNAP xf86 linux drivers, which are supposed to be a new approach to xfree86 graphics, and offer substantial performance increase? I ran across this in an article at OSNews, regarding the Athene OS- here's a link to the SNAP site for some more info. It sounds like it's worth investigating, as it says it overcomes the inherent X11 speed constraints. Only problem is, it costs a little $.

There's a review. I tried SNAP Graphics on Gentoo and it did work quite nicely.

Yes, I have one box currently running with Snap driver. I had to back down from the development snapshots to get it to work. But it is fast.
