File System for transfering from Gentoo to Windows box

Hey folks,

I have about 20GB of data that I need to transfer to a friend's Windows PC ... it is being transfered on a HD, because she doesn't have 'net access, and I don't have a burner. I have a 30 GB HD that I can use for the transfer ... so what is the best way to do this? I have no problem with the physical installation and moving the drive from A to B ... what I need is help with:

(i) installing the drive in Gentoo.
(ii) formatting the drive in a file system that Gentoo can write to, and WinXP can read from.

Suggestions?
