Semantic-desktop has been causing my laptop to slow to a crawl each time I copy something over to my external drive, so I decided to remove the flag for it, and remove nepomuk and strigi.

However, theirs something weird.
plasma-workspaces depends on strigi (this isn't a dependency block)
Code:
CMake Error at /usr/share/apps/cmake/modules/FindPackageHandleStandardArgs.cmake:198 (MESSAGE):
  Couldn't find Strigi streams and streamanalyzer libraries.  Set the
  environment variable STRIGI_HOME (or CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH if using CMake
  >=2.6) to the strigi install dir.  (missing: STRIGI_STREAMS_LIBRARY
  STRIGI_STREAMANALYZER_LIBRARY STRIGI_INCLUDE_DIR)
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  /usr/share/apps/cmake/modules/FindStrigi.cmake:104 (find_package_handle_standard_args)
  CMakeLists.txt:26 (find_package)

 * S: '/var/tmp/portage/kde-base/plasma-workspace-4.6.0/work/plasma-workspace-4.6.0'
, however, it shouldn't require strigi since I removed the semantic-desktop flag?

im using kde 4.6

Strigi is a dependency of kdelibs itself, so there's no way to get rid of it.
kdelibs-4.6.0-r1.ebuild:
 24 COMMONDEPEND="
 25     app-crypt/qca:2
 26     >=app-misc/strigi-0.6.3
 27     >=dev-libs/libattica-0.1.90

But don't worry, without nepomuk, it's harmless ;)
