Hi,

I get evms and udev-postscripts errors during boot.

rc.log - http://paste.pocoo.org/show/342156/
/etc/init.d/evms- http://dpaste.de/Fjp6/
/etc/init.d/udev-postmount- http://dpaste.de/d3aO/

I am using openrc, here is my rc.conf - http://dpaste.de/grnO/

It says partitions overlap but gparted or fdisk doesn't report any errors and I just dont understand what partitions its reporting, does it count sub-slices under ufs or zfs? There is no sda37 or sdb19. Is this some Linux trick to demean BSD? Heres my disk layout -

Code:
fdisk -l

Disk /dev/sda: 320.1 GB, 320072933376 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 38913 cylinders, total 625142448 sectors

What hard drive adapter drivers are you using?
Using libata drivers the kernel should only be able to access /dev/sda and /dev/sda1 to /dev/sda15.
If you are still using the legacy drivers; current udev versions will not create device nodes for legacy driver devices.
If you are using legacy drivers and an old udev (or making your own device nodes), "Never mind"

DONAHUE:

I fixed udev error by 'emerge -l udev' and 'etc-update', now the only problem is with evms. I dont have initramfs and I have done make menuconfig allyesconfig and later removed debug stuff from it.

How do i fix evms errors.

Best,

Dave

DONAHUE:

I removed evms, been to their irc at freenode and they told me to remove it. No one uses evms these days, people prefer lvm2.

Thanks,

Dave
