Huhu leute,

habe heute ne neue Kiste bekommen mit nem nVidia CK8S ethernet (onboard).. und mein Gentoo will ihn wohl nicht,

ifconfig gibt mir nur lo, modprobe e100 & e1000 helfen auch nicht :/

Jemand ne Idee welche Treiber ich brauche? o. was evtl falsch ist?

sollte dieser Chipsatz mit dem forcedeth Treiber laufen.

Was ich auf zwei virtuellen Boxen erlebt habe ist Folgendes:

ifconfig zeigt nur "lo" an. In dmesg steht etwas davon, dass "eth0" in "eth2" umbenannt wird. "ifconfig eth2" zeigt die Nezwerkkarte auch brav an.

Schau doch mal, ob bei dir auch so eine Umbenennung stattfindet.
