I am connecting up to an AP in a marina I am visiting and have an odd problem: I can connect fine with XP, but, while I can connect and get an IP in gentoo, I cannot even ping the gateway. I have checked everything that I can think of and I am getting the same connection info in XP as in gentoo. It is a WPA2 AP, so I am using wpa_supplicant for the connection, but everything seems to be going fine, up until the point where I try to use the connection. BTW, this hardware works fine on my home setup which is also WPA2.
Any thoughts on where to look for the problem? |

Can you ping the gateway from the windows box?
If not then perhaps this is a DNS issue on your gentoo box |

Yes, I can ping the gateway from windows, but not from gentoo.
The DNS and gateway addresses are the same in both. |
