I was getting a garbled / scrambled screen every few minutes with 260. series drivers / xorg 1.9 and a pre-emptible kernel. I found a workaround - build the kernel with voluntary pre-emption instead. Posting here just in case there are other gentoo-ers with the issue: full details (including photo of garbled screen) on nVidia forums: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=160236 |
