[Gentoo Prefix] "~amd64" vs "~amd64-linux"?

What is the difference between "~amd64" and "~amd64-linux"?

Can I enable the keywords "amd64" and "~amd64" on Gentoo Prefix? For some packages "~amd64-linux" does not provide the required dependencies.

amd64-linux is experimental ~amd64-linux would be testing experimental. They are not for use by normal users. See http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/gentoo-alt/prefix/usecases.xml.
