Well to my post earlier I fixed the boot issue...I commented out floopy in /etc/fstab and reinstalled Grub for a third time.....RM'd grub.conf and started from scratch.
I am now in KDE using Konquerer...
To all those banging away at multiple attemps at installing Gentoo Keep it up, It is really worth it. Granted I've only been live about half hour now..I'm in love time to burn those Manddrake CD's this system is so much quicker I can not get over it..granted its not my 1.8 GHZ Athlon (YET)
Thanks to those that have helped me with a a few n00b questions, I'm sure I'll have more soon...I'm just happy to be past install....this was second attemp and approxiamtly 52 hours for install and varous compiles and system build. _________________ emerge -U life
