I have not found any other explanation than that this is caused by the glib update, since downgrading to 2.28.4 made it work again, and upgrading back causes Folding@home nVidia client to crash (Folding@home Core Shutdown: UNSTABLE_MACHINE).
I am running Wine 1.3.17.
Now back on 2.28.4 and it is working. Revdep-rebuild did not find any problems.
