Why am I still getting errors on this?

I use to have a forum on the server but it has been gone for a long time (over 2 years). The forum has never even been on the current server either. Why do I still get log messages?

possibilities:

-random requests for this file by bots
-links to the old forum in google's cache; the 404's will cause the google cache entry to go down in page rank, and eventually disappear, but it's not immediate

NB: you ever get your mail setup working? I finally wrote a big long monster HOWTO, but I'll not spam it here unless you reckon you still need it.
