Hi.
I've installed Qingy 1.0.0 on my tty1 and tty2. Qingy is active at boot and I use it to launch my Xfce session. Right after my machine has booted I can only press one key (in the passwd area) then wait a (long) time until the keyboard starts responding again. The next keystrokes are ignored, not the mouse though. I see the keyboard responds again when pressing Ctrl+Alt+Fn sends me to the n'th TTY.
I compiled DirectFB with INPUT_DEVICES="keyboard mouse", dropping evdev. Should I do the other way around?
Has anyone else got the same issue?
Thanks in advance. _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...

Funny, on my (freshly installed) system, qingy produces two characters on the screen per key stroke.
I figured, it probably receives one key stroke through the keyboard, and one through the evdev device set in INPUT_DEVICES.
So, the way I got it to work in the end was to disable keyboard and mouse in DirectFBs flags (also had to use =dev-libs/DirectFB-1.4.5, not sure what's broken in the 1.4.9 build), but this doesn't seem to be an option for you.
All I can tell you for now is that it apparently does work as expected at least on some gentoo systems.
Best of luck. |

Thanks kahi. Indeed I've had the same issue in the first place as I got two characters per key stroke. That's why I removed evdev. Now I haven't checked the other way around, that is only evdev instead of mouse+keyboard. _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...
