Hello,
I installed gentoo and everything went very well. I upgraded my kernel from sys-kernel/development-sources to 2.6.0-test5. The kernel runs great but I am now unable to resolve domain names. If I boot back to the standard gentoo 2.4 kernel, I can resolve domain names no problems - no settings change, /etc/resolv.conf is the same, etc.
With the 2.6.0-test5 kernel, I can ping internet hosts fine, eg ping 216.239.53.99 works, but ping www.google.com just times out.
Is there a configuration option in the 2.6.0 kernel relating to this that I may have missed? I had a good look through the kernel options and surfed the web but could find the answer.
Thanks in advance,

I just upgraded to 2.6.0-test6 and it fixed all my problems. Sweet. |

I observed the same thing with a test5. Glad to know test6 is un-busted. Hopefully test6 also doesn't have issues with my software raid that test4(-mm4) was seeming to have. |
