Actually, 'emerge -1pv audacious-plugins' would be far more on-topic. |

I said '-1pv' - I'm more interested in the useflags than in the version. |

Add use flag: win32codecs
Install package win32codecs by "-uDNav"
revdep-rebuild
Attention you don't have :
lame (mp3) use flag.
vorbis (ogg) use flag.
wavpack (for some wav and wma audio codecs)
normally done
Install gentoolkit package to get : euse -i
type euse -i 'flags'
Code: | euse -i wavpack
global use flags (searching: wavpack)
************************************************************
[+ C ] wavpack - Add support for wavpack audio compression tools
local use flags (searching: wavpack)
************************************************************

Actually, I doubt win32codecs will change anything for audacious.
Try ffmpeg useflag for ffaudio.
Though there's a bug about that useflag right now. |

Well, Windows Media Player can too. Your point ?
Check the build log of audacious plugins - if it reports ffaudio as disabled, regardless of ffmpeg useflag, you're probably affected by the bug I've mentioned. |
