Già ceh devo ricompilare il kernel con i moduli del suono,

vorrei da voi tutti un parere su quello che mi succede:

ho ricompilato il kernel da poco (facendo per bene tutti i passaggi, e facendomi seguire e controllare da un amico) che comunque elencco qua:

cd /usr/src/linux
rm .config
make menuconfig
così dopo aver inserito tutto ciò che mi serve, ovviamente incluso devfs,

make dep && make clean bzImage modules modules_install
cp /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/bzImage /boot



abilitando il supporto delle partizioni VFAT, MSDOS FS e di conseguenza fat32, come built-in,

compilato tutto, ma... quando vado a fare

mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows
mi viene fuori la seguente:

come mai, se ho compilato il supporto nel kernel? dove sbaglio?

e inoltre al boot mi viene fuori una scritta che dice che non ho compilato il supporto devfs che gentoo richiede... help!

che kernel hai preso ??

gentoo-sources ??

cmq se potrei postarci la parte di dmesg, cosi vediamo gli errori al boot...


per il vfat, prova a mettere il supporto modulare...e a caricare il modulo all avvio...

hai montato la cartella /boot (gentoo la smonta sempre una volta finito
di usarla).

Per questo devi abilitare nel kernel il support che sta in

l'errore di devfs lo da in un'altra schermata, dice di premere un tasto per continuare o aspettare 15 secondi per fare il boot comunque.

si l'ho montata e poi prima di raivviare l'ho smontata io per sicurezza.

Mi sembra molto strano. Ricompila il kernel e mettilo in /boot
cambiando il nome (es: bzImage.new) e poi configura lilo o grub con
la possibilita' di scegliere i due kernel. Ti dico questo perche' se tu hai
aggiunto il supporto devfs e non te lo carica vuol dire che l'immagine
che si trova in boot e' ancora quella vecchia.

Da qui sembra che il kernel sia stato ricompilato il 14 mentre il thread è del 21...

si lo avevo ricompilato in quella data ma non ho avuto tempo per rifarlo. Comuqnue ora ho risolto, funziona tutto quello che ho selezionato. Grazie a tutti per l'aiuto, non so come ho risolto, probabilmente avevo fatto qualche "vaccata" quando ho compilato quello vecchio, infatti col comando
